MESA, Arizona (KPHO/Gray News) – A man has been charged after causing a crash that killed a woman in Arizona over the weekend.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Nicholas Stewart Meyer, 45, was changing lanes on U.S. 60 in Mesa on Sunday around 8 a.m. when he veered to the right and struck a vehicle that was stopped on the side of the road. way.

Two people who were near the vehicle were hit.

One of the victims was identified as 23-year-old Zoey Johnson of Glendale. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second victim, who was not immediately identified, was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

DPS said Meyer was arrested and jailed for driving with a revoked or suspended license and causing death by a traffic violation.
