Trump almost hits a garbage truck with plants during a tacky photo shoot

Donald TrumpWednesday’s photo op with a garbage truck almost got off to a disastrous start, as the former president apparently missed the handle and nearly slipped on the wet ground.

Trump also briefly grabbed his right thigh before eventually getting into the truck with visible effort.

This moment takes place around 15 seconds to C-SPAN coverage of the photo shoot:

In the evening, Trump said the truck was too big.

“I said, how the hell do I get to this truck? That’s very high,” he said at a rally in Wisconsin. “I said they didn’t have to buy it that big, right? Do you have to make it that big?”

He said he realized how embarrassing it would be if he couldn’t get in his truck and watch “fake news.”

“So the first step is like this,” he said, raising his hand to his waist, even though the step was actually at knee height. “I said, ‘Shit.’ I felt the adrenaline and I made it.

Trump’s cheesy photo shoot comes after his comic book campaign rally in New York on Sunday he called Puerto Rico “floating garbage island”, which has led to many high-profile Latino stars speaking out against Trump, including: Angry bunnyJennifer Lopez and Marek Antoniwhile reggaeton star Nicky Jam withdrew his support Trump.

President Joe Biden stumbled – true to his words – on Tuesday when asked about comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s racist insult to Puerto Rico.

“The only garbage going out there is his supporters, his demonization of Latinos is mindless and un-American,” Biden said. He later explained he was talking specifically about Hinchcliffe, not all Trump supporters, but many on the right took the comment as an insult to them.

Trump, for his part, does repeatedly called the entire United States “garbage can” and attacked Democrats as “enemy from within” and even suggested that the military might be used against them.
