A grand jury is indicting a Conneaut man who allegedly walked into a police station and confessed to murder

CONNEAUT, Ohio (WOIO) – An Ashtabula County grand jury has indicted a 45-year-old man accused of murdering his live-in girlfriend.

On September 26, Nathan Sumner allegedly walked into the Conneaut Police Station and confessed to killing Heather Harris.

Officers then went to the couple’s home at 100 Nickle Plate Ave. and found Harris on the couch.

35-year-old Harris was confirmed dead at the scene.

Sumner is locked up at Conneaut Prison.

Chief Colby added that the couple had been living together for about three years, and the only time police were called to action was for inappropriate behavior following Sumner’s drinking warning earlier this year.
