Police say a two-vehicle crash has killed an Oak Grove man

MONROE, La. (KNOE) – Louisiana State Police say a man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Oak Grove on Thursday, Oct. 31.

Authorities said 69-year-old Jimmy Densmore died when his Ford F-350 was struck by a Freightliner truck.

According to LSP, Densmore ran a stop sign at the intersection of LA Hwy. 1268 and U.S. Hwy. 165 when it was unsafe to do so, resulting in his vehicle being struck.

Police say Densmore was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Freightliner driver was transported for minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
