The parents of a Cottonwood Heights woman accused of killing her husband have been arrested

COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah — Parents of Cottonwood Heights woman Jennifer Gledhill accused of killing her husband in his sleepwere arrested for allegedly helping their daughter cover up a murder.

Gledhill seems to contradict herself about the origin of the bruises

Rosalie and Thomas Gledhill face multiple first-degree felony charges of obstruction of justice in connection with the death of Matthew Johnson.

Gledhill’s parents are accused of helping Jennifer clean out the house where she allegedly shot Johnson in the head on Sept. 21 or 22. Jennifer Gledhill was arrested Oct. 2 after a man she was having an affair with told police he confessed to killing Johnson, who was serving in the Utah National Guard.

A neighbor told police he saw Gledhill’s parents cleaning the house late on September 24, although Rosalie claimed they were only there for an hour. Gledhill’s mother said she bought the mattress from Amazon at her daughter’s request.

The ongoing investigation into Johnson’s death has found a new mattress in the Cottonwood Heights home where he was shot. Police have not yet found the mattress that was previously found in the house or Johnson’s body.

Arrest documents show that neither of Gledhill’s parents cooperated with the police investigation or the discovery of the body.

When detectives served a search warrant at Gledhill’s parents’ home, they found a plastic bag containing a box for a Glock 19x handgun wrapped in a baby onesie. The district attorney’s office said the gun container was a match. model of the gun, which Gledhill showed to the man, who informed police.

Jennifer Gledhill she made her first court appearance earlier this week and was ordered to have no contact with her three children.
