Arsenal stars Bukayo Saka, Riccardo Calafiori AND Jurrien Timber were not spotted in training ahead of Sunday’s Premier League match against Liverpool.

The Gunners will be looking to bounce back from last weekend’s shock defeat to Bournemouth a morale-boosting victory over the incumbent leaders.

However, Mikel Arteta may have to reshuffle his group and will have to make at least one defensive change, given the William Saliba will serve a one-game suspension.

Riccardo Calafiori could be an option to replace the French international at center back, but the Italy international is struggling with a knee injury.

Reports from Italy on Thursday suggest the damage suffered by Bologna’s summer transfer was not serious however, it looks like he won’t recover in time to face the in-form Reds.

Meanwhile, mystery continues to surround Saka’s condition who has missed the last two games after suffering a muscle injury during England’s match against Greece two weeks ago.

With captain Martin Odegaard still absent, Arteta will be desperate for Saka to be available and Gunners legend David Seaman believes the winger will return soon after visiting his old club’s training ground last week.

Bukayo Saka watched Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk from the stands at Emirates Stadium

Speaking about Arsenal’s prospects against Liverpool, Seaman said: “I’m a bit nervous to be honest because depending on Saka we won’t be at our best,” said the former England No.1 Betway.

Although when I was at Arsenal last Thursday training with the young goalkeepers, I saw Bukayo wearing his boots and thought, ‘Oh, good sign.’

– Not coaches or anything like that. He was going on individual rehabilitation, so it was a good sign. I hope it’s not that bad.

Jurrien Timber is also questionable as the versatile defender has been sidelined since the international break.

Jakub Kiwior could play at either center or left-back against Liverpool, while Oleksandr Zinchenko is once again available.

Teenager Myles Lewis-Skelly was preferred against Shakhtar in midweek, however, when Arteta opted to replace Ben White at half-time, aware that the Arsenal right-back had already been shown a yellow card.
