Embakasi man finally gets his ,000 deposit back. KSh after causing drama in the agent’s office

  • A young man identified as Brian refused to let his agent keep his deposit the way most tenants do, after moving out and becoming frustrated with dishonest agents
  • According to Brian, he allegedly moved into the house in July and decided to move out after a month due to water problems
  • After he moved out, the agents said they would refund his deposit on August 13, but when that day came, they refused to refund it at all, which made him furious.

The young man identified as Brian is now happy as the agent of his former home in Tassia has finally refunded him KSh10,000.

Why did Brian leave home?

In the recording published on its pages TikTok platform, the young man said that he only stayed at home for a month.

“I kept reporting to them that I had no water. They have iron meters at home that are now rusty due to years of wear and tear. Due to rusty parts, a lot of water leaks from the taps. so I never got them and yet they charged me, it forced me to move out,” he said TUKO.co.ke.

When Brian moved out, the agent told him he would receive his deposit back by August 13th. From then on, they played a game of cat and mouse between them until he finally had enough and went to confront the man at the agent in his office.

Why did Brian have to scream?

“They threatened me, but I also said I would report the matter to the media. I also started screaming so loudly that it attracted many people to the office,” he said.

“They also wanted to deduct KSh 4,000 from KSh 10,000 for painting, but the caretaker signed that I did not have to pay anything for painting and it turned out that I only paid KSh 360 for water,” he added.

Brian urged people not to let agents run off with their money after they moved out of their home.

“Speak loud and clear,” he said.
