Marcus Satterfield on film review and reaction to interconnections

Dylan Widger-USA TODAY Sports

“I thought it was special. We watched the movie as a whole team. Coach (Matt Rhule) got up and we went game by game. We have to approach things differently, offensively and defensively, on that side of the ball, so that the defense can see what the attacker was doing and what the opponent was doing to us, to make us do certain things and vice versa. I don’t know if there’s anything they could bring to the pitch other than energy, attitude and a desire to solve problems. And they did, a truly exhilarating practice.

“Super confident. He is not moved at all. He understands, he would like to get some of those throws back. Coach (White) said it best: We got punched in the face the other day, we’re not giving up now. We keep fighting and working, we are building something special here.”

“We knew and we know that we have a problem that we need to continue to improve. We attacked it and it is wrong that we are reactionary. I reacted to it, I saw it all the time and I had to meet it head-on. We’ve been working extremely hard on this over the last few weeks and I think it’s getting better. Hopefully this will become a weapon for us as the season progresses.

“The guys did their best, but there were things I didn’t like. They were completely stupid. It’s about the way you do things. There are always connections you want to come back to. Ultimately we have to make sure we have that confidence and make the guys run with fire on their heads. I didn’t do it well enough last week.

“Not based on today. Sit back, listen to the coach (Rhule) and you hear the message. That’s what I do. I sit down and listen to Coach as if I were a player. One of the really great things about him is that he says, “You can go any number of ways, but at the end of the day, you have a different offense, this is one of the best teams in the entire country.” This is life. We teach life lessons. You won’t always get the job you want. This won’t always happen, but it’s about how you react to everything and how you learn from it. This is one of those examples, and our job is to get the job done.”

“That’s all. It’s called: don’t expose them so often. In the case of 50-50, what matters is working on technique and believing that the guys will cope. From the technical side, at the very beginning, are you geared up, do you have the right leverage? Are you doing the right things? So you break it down to every little aspect to make them feel confident. “
