A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Valley County

GREAT FALLS – On Thursday, October 24, 2024, a man was killed in a single-vehicle accident.

The incident occurred just after 2 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. Highway 117 and North River Road/Tiger Butte Road, a few miles south of Nashua.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, a 60-year-old Glasgow man was driving a Ford F-350 pickup truck north on North River Road, pulling a flatbed trailer with hay bales.

The truck crossed the center line, struck a ditch and struck a barbed wire fence before coming to rest.



MHP says the man likely suffered a medical emergency before the crash.

Only the driver was in the vehicle.

Alcohol and speed were not factors in the accident; According to the MHP, the man was not wearing a seat belt.

The man’s name has not been released.
