Serious injuries reported in Little River crash

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Serious injuries were reported after a crash in part of Horry County on Friday.

Horry County Fire Department said Crews were called to a two-vehicle wreck in the area of Highway 17 and SC 179 just before 10 a.m.

HCFR added that the crash involved both entrapment and ejection. The report shows that one of the vehicles involved in the incident overturned.

WMBF News received photos of the scene from a viewer, which showed one of the vehicles rolled on its side.

The services reported that three people were taken to hospital, including one with serious injuries.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. Crews from the nearby Calabash Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
