Police say a man is dead after a shooting in the parking lot of West Philadelphia AutoZone

A man died after being shot in the chest in the parking lot of West Philadelphia AutoZone Friday afternoon, according to police.

Philadelphia police said a 33-year-old man was shot in the chest in the AutoZone parking lot at 5600 Vine Sreet just after 3:30 p.m.

Police took the man to hospital in Lankenau, where he was pronounced dead just before 5 p.m. No arrests were made and no weapons were found.

According to a PPD update, the homicide unit is currently investigating.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334 or call/text the PPD tip line at 215-686-TIPS (8477). There is a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
