Units respond after two-car crash and fire in Destin, one was airlifted to hospital

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. – Emergency crews are on the scene of a serious two-car crash in Destin Friday evening.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred at the intersection of Emerald Coast Pkwy (Hwy 98) and Trista Terrace Ct.

Destin Fire Rescue reported the accident as a rollover. One vehicle appears to have caught fire. Many people were taken to the Fort Walton Beach emergency room as “trauma patients.” One person was airlifted to Sacred Heart Pensacola.

According to OCSO, all westbound lanes are currently closed.
