2 injured, 1 critical in crash south of Newton on I-135

HARVEY COUNTY, Kan. (KWCH) – Two people were injured, one critically, in a three-vehicle crash that was reported a little before 5 p.m. Friday in the northbound lanes of Interstate 135, south of Newton, near mile marker 25.

The crash occurred in the northbound lanes, but also impacted southbound traffic, causing traffic to be stopped in at least one lane. As of 6:15 p.m., traffic was still backed up and crews were cleaning up the scene.
