The Naked and Afraid star dies in a car crash in Hawaii at the age of 34

Sarah Danser, known for her appearances in Discovery Channel‘S Naked and scareddied as a result of a car accident in Hawaii. She was 34 years old.

The reality star was involved in a collision in Kahala on Sunday (October 20) evening. According to a local TV station KSLADanser was a passenger in a car when the 59-year-old male driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a parked car. She was taken to hospital and her condition was said to be critical, and she died two days later.

Both the car driver and the woman who was in the parked car were taken to hospital in serious condition. Police confirmed speed was the cause, not drugs or alcohol.

Danser was from Castle Rock, Colorado and lived in Hawaii for about 12 years as a master diver, boat captain, survivalist and self-proclaimed “pirate.”

“Magical – that’s how you can describe her. “Sarah had this positive energy about her that really filled the environment she was in,” her brother, Jake Danser, told KSLA.

“I really saw what a difference she made in other people’s lives,” said her father, Dan Danser. “I think she saved my life once by diving in Indonesia.”

Family members also said she was a two-time breast cancer survivor.

She first appeared in the eighth season of the series Naked and scared – in which one man and one woman must try to survive in extreme conditions without food, water or clothing – in 2017. She returned to the series for season 11 in 2020, and then starred in three seasons of the series: Celebrity Edition, Naked and Afraid XL.

At the time of her death, Danser was working at Island Divers Hawaii. Following her death, the company shared a tribute on social media.

“It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a good friend and a great captain. Sarah brought tremendous energy to everyone she came into contact with. We will miss you very much,” Island Divers Hawaii further wrote Facebookalong with a screenshot of the finale of Danser Instagram post.

The selfie shows a smiling Danser on a boat and captions the photo: “Who recognizes this boat? Look who’s running it!”

Danser’s friend and fellow diver Tim Mason said the community was devastated.

“She was smart. She went underwater. She found food, snails and the like,” he told the outlet. “She knew what to do to survive and she did great.”
