Officers involved in shooting | News, sports, work

The city of Minot said a man was killed Friday morning following a shooting at a Minot residence.

According to the city, Minot Police officers were dispatched to a southwest Minot residence on a report of a domestic disturbance. Minot’s dispatch center received a call in which the sounds of a man and a woman arguing and overheard threats of gun violence.

Officers arrived on scene and two officers discharged their department-issued weapons. A man involved in a reported domestic disturbance was struck and pronounced dead at the scene.

The officers involved were placed on administrative leave as per protocol, and the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigations took over the investigation.
