Man killed in I-275 crash in Colerain Township

A man was killed early Saturday morning in a multi-vehicle crash in Colerain Township, according to a news release.

Colerain police officers were dispatched at approximately 12:20 p.m. to the 40.4 mile marker on eastbound Interstate 275 for a report of a motor vehicle accident resulting in injuries.

Three vehicles were involved in the accident and the injured were taken to local hospitals for treatment. One of the people, Todd Rutledge Sr. of Cincinnati, was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he ultimately died of his injuries.

It is unclear at this time what Rutledge’s role was in the crash.

Police said the interstate was closed as a result of the crash, but reopened at 5 a.m.
