2 people dead, 1 hospitalized after head-on crash in Adair County

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Two people are dead and one is in the hospital after a crash in Adair County on Friday.

Kentucky State Police said the crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. on KY 55. The initial investigation revealed that Linda Young, 74, of Jamestown, was driving south when she crossed the center line and struck an oncoming car.

Young and her passenger, 45-year-old Chris Young, died at the scene. The driver of the other car was taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital with serious injuries.

KSP is investigating.
