Police say a motorcyclist has died in a car crash near Northeast Philadelphia

A motorcyclist was killed Saturday afternoon in a car crash near Bustleton Avenue and Tomlinson Road in Northeast Philadelphia, according to police.

Police said the motorcyclist, a 22-year-old man, was traveling northbound on Bustleton Avenue, weaving between lanes, and collided with a private car that was southbound making a left turn onto Tomlinson Road after 3:30 p.m.

Doctors took the man to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital and he was pronounced dead at 4:24 p.m

Police reported that four cars, including a motorcycle, were involved in the accident.

According to the police in a statement, after the first collision between a motorcycle and a private car, two cars following the private car collided from behind.

No other injuries were reported.
