Now he returns in time to face the Texans again in a game that could give the Colts a tie for first place in the AFC South.

The Colts waived second-year guard Evan Hull to make room, another sign of the team’s confidence that superstar guard Jonathan Taylor will play on Sunday against Houston.

Taylor has missed the last three games with a sprained ankle.

The superstar returned to practice this week and was off the injured list, meaning he will likely return to the field against the Texans.

“Getting those two guys back, if they’re ready to play, is going to be huge,” Indianapolis head coach Shane Steichen said. “They are two really talented players who help us enormously on both sides of the football. It will be good to see where it goes.”

Indianapolis also signed a linebacker.

The Colts placed rookie linebacker Jaylon Carlies on injured reserve with a fibula injury suffered last week against the Dolphins, and Lawrence Central activated Indianapolis Cameron McGrone from an injured substitute to his place.
