Bucks player Andre Jackson Jr. crashes his car into an apartment building in downtown Milwaukee

On Saturday, Bucks player Andre Jackson Jr. crashed his car on the front porch of a Yankee Hill apartment in downtown Milwaukee.

According to the department, the Milwaukee Fire Department responded to a report of a vehicle striking a home in the 900 block of East State Street at 11:32 a.m. The official said the department responded for property damage but not injuries.

Barry Baum, Bucks director of communications, said in a statement Saturday: “Following the team’s morning practice, Andre was involved in a single-vehicle accident. Andre was alone in the car. Fortunately, no one was injured or required medical attention, Andre will join the team in New York for tomorrow’s match.”

Brian Walker, 58, was in his Juneau Towers apartment when he heard a loud noise and then noticed a vehicle crash into the porch of a Yankee Hill townhouse. He said a crowd formed shortly after the accident. “There were probably maybe 15 people.” people here,” Walker said. “There was a fire truck on site, an ambulance was on site.”

The Milwaukee Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

A Journal Sentinel reporter at the crash site saw what appeared to be skid marks, a pile of bricks, twisted metal railings, part of a bumper and a badly damaged brick wall.

Jackson was acquired last year in the late night draft from Orlando and played 57 games for the team Bucks as a rookie. Had surgery for a broken finger in July.

He was not listed on the initial injury report following the Bucks’ game against the Brooklyn Nets in New York on Sunday.
