Kamala Harris and Michelle Obama in Kalamazoo

Vice President Kamala Harris returned to Michigan on Saturday, holds a rally kicking off statewide early voting in Kalamazoo with former first lady Michelle Obama.

Harris’ latest visit to Michigan comes less than two weeks before Election Day, November 5. She is engaged in a tight race for statewide office against Republican presidential candidate, former President Donald Trump.

Trump was also in Michigan on Saturday – appeared at a rally in Novi after Friday’s stop in Traverse City.

Michigan is believed to be crucial to determining the outcome of the presidential election. Opinion polls conducted both nationally and in Michigan show little difference between the candidates. The RealClearPolling average from recent polls conducted in Michigan showed that as of Friday morning, Trump was ahead of Harris by 0.2 percentage points.
