A woman has died following a crash on I-84 in Willington

WILLINGTON, Conn. (WFSB) – A woman was killed following a crash on I-84 in Willington on Wednesday evening.

State Police say the crash occurred around 3:15 p.m. in the area of Exit 71.

According to officials, 63-year-old Robert Morello was driving eastbound in a UPS truck when another vehicle driven by 33-year-old Jonathan Sutter attempted to change lanes.

Sutter struck Morello’s vehicle and ejected, causing damage to the vehicle.

Marie Alicea, 39, a passenger in Sutter’s vehicle, died in the collision.

The incident is under investigation.
