A Tampa dad defends his “predator” daughter accused of having sex with boys

A 23-year-old Tampa woman is accused of pretending to be a homeschooled 14-year-old. The police claim that the ploy was aimed at luring teenage boys to engage in sexual acts with her.

One of the alleged victims was 12 years old. She was 21 years old then.

Now, newly released police bodycam footage shows her father claiming his daughter is the real victim.

Police raided Zinger’s home in November 2023 to confiscate her cellphone amid allegations that she had videotaped a sexual encounter with one of the teenagers.

Her dad told police his “beautiful daughter” had “a lot of problems and mental issues.”

“We are doing nothing but 100 percent cooperation,” he told police, adding that the situation “sucks.”

“(My daughter) messed with the wrong kid, even though he is much younger,” the father said. “My daughter, she’s never been in trouble in her life – even though he’s young, she’s never been in trouble in her life – until she started getting along with him.”

The defensive father then described the young victim as “crazy.”

He said: “Like I said, my daughter has never been in trouble in her life, this kid is 14, he has girls at home, he videotapes them, he makes porn at the age of 14. My daughter is 22 years old, she was 21 years old.

But according to the cops, Alyssa Zinger wasn’t Little Miss Goody Two Shoes. Investigators say Zinger allegedly committed more than 30 sex acts with five young boys.

To get into their hearts and pants, she claimed to be homeschooled and chose her first victim on Snapchat. She then began sexual intercourse with the boy.

Since her arrest in September 2023, she has been beaten again after four more alleged victims came forward claiming they were targeted for sex with Zinger.

Police say she had sexual intercourse with the first alleged victim multiple times and sent pornographic videos of the pair to several other young boys via Snapchat. The boys thought he was 14.

She was charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious battery and five counts of lewd or lascivious molestation of a victim between the ages of 12 and 15. The age of consent in Florida is 18.

The woman pleaded not guilty and was initially released on bail.

But last July, Zinger found herself in violation of the law again when she and her first victim were arrested for allegedly shoplifting from a Nordstrom store. She told the officer that she was born in 2009, not 2001.

She then allegedly claimed to the suspicious police officer that she had a half-sister with the same name. Her employers at the supermarket confirmed her real identity.

“You really don’t seem to understand the issue,” Judge Laura Ward told Zinger in April. “You’re the problem here. Your actions towards these boys are illegal. And it’s not okay whether they made the video or you made the video. You are the only adult.

Zinger’s request for temporary release in June was torpedoed, and until her trial, Zinger remains held in the county jail.
