Multiple victims injured in car crash in Sidney: RCMP

Vancouver Island police say they are investigating a single-vehicle crash that left “multiple” people injured.

Sidney North Saanich RCMP say officers were called to a shopping plaza in Sidney around 2:30 p.m.

Multiple people are said to have been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Firefighters and BC Ambulance also responded to the scene.

RCMP spokesman Cpl. Brett Urano says in a press release that the investigation is ongoing, but police have determined that alcohol was not a factor.

The police are appealing to witnesses and people with footage from car cameras to contact them.
