Arsenal have discussed injury concerns ahead of Sunday’s game against Liverpool, but Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber were photographed at their team hotel on Saturday evening.

Mikel Arteta is no stranger to mind games. He worked under a manager who, in Pep Guardiola’s case, thrived, keeping everyone guessing.

In the lead-up to Liverpool’s visit, he kept the cameras away from the likes of Saka and Timber as he publicly stated that the duo and Riccardo Calafiori had a “very uncertain” chance of playing.

The photo gallery from this particular shoot also did a good job of not implying Saka or Timber’s involvement – no surprises there!

There have been cases before where players have traveled with the squad and not made the final 20-man squad, but in this case Arteta is playing mind games.
