Surprise, surprise! ‘Injured’ Arsenal duo spotted with squad on eve of visit to Liverpool – Liverpool FC

Arsenal have discussed injury concerns ahead of Sunday’s game against Liverpool, but Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber were photographed at their team hotel on Saturday evening.

Mikel Arteta is no stranger to mind games. He worked under a manager who, in Pep Guardiola’s case, thrived, keeping everyone guessing.

In the lead-up to Liverpool’s visit, he kept the cameras away from the likes of Saka and Timber as he publicly stated that the duo and Riccardo Calafiori had a “very uncertain” chance of playing.

“Saka did some training on grass. Another question is how far we can get it before Sunday. We have another day and that’s good,” he said Arsenal manager he said.

However, on Saturday the photos were published on the website X which showed Saka and Timber in club tracksuits with the rest of the band at their hotel.

If, as advertised, the photo was taken on the eve of the clash, it means the duo were part of the squad that trained at the Emirates ahead of Liverpool’s visit.

The photo gallery from this particular shoot also did a good job of not implying Saka or Timber’s involvement – no surprises there!

There have been cases before where players have traveled with the squad and not made the final 20-man squad, but in this case Arteta is playing mind games.

According to Postin some, coaching staff First league the sites said they “no longer pay attention to the Spaniard’s updates as they have focused on his underhanded methods.”

Arne Slot you expect him not to pay too much attention to it and to prepare for every eventuality, just like any good manager would.

Neither he nor the rest of us will be surprised if Saka or Timber enters Arsenalband later on Sunday.
