A man has been charged following the death of a three-week-old baby in a crash between Kidderminster and Stourport

Craig Nunn was arrested following a crash on the A451 between Kidderminster and Stourport on Saturday morning.

The collision involved a black Ford Focus and a black Suzuki Vitara. Unfortunately, the infant was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other two passengers of the Suzuki, a man and a woman in their 20s, required hospital treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

The 39-year-old, of Sandy Lane, Stourport, will appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Monday charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: “The man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

“The charges relate to a collision on the A451 between Kidderminster and Stourport yesterday which sadly resulted in the death of a three-week-old baby.

“Craig Nunn, 39, of Sandy Lane, Stourport, will appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on October 28.”
