Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested former civil surgeon of Brahmanbaria, Dr Md Abu Sayed, in connection with a sabotage case.

Abu Sayed, also the president of Brahmanbaria Medical College Hospital, was arrested this afternoon (October 27) outside the hospital.

The former civil surgeon is also the vice-president of the Brahmanbaria District Awami League and president of Swadhinata Chikitshak Parish.

Mozaffar Hossain, in-charge of Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police Station, confirmed the arrest and said that RAB had handed over Dr Sayed to the police.

He was later transferred to court, showing that he had been arrested in connection with a sabotage case filed at the Sadar police station, the prosecutor said.
