A 31-year-old Penetanguishene man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a crash that closed a section of Highway 12 in the Midland area overnight.

Ontario Provincial Police say an eastbound minivan struck a parked OPP cruiser near Old Fort Road.

Both passengers have minor injuries.

The highway has reopened after being closed for about six hours between Wye Valley Road and Old Fort.
