A man has been taken to hospital after a serious attack in Greenock.

The incident occurred on Friday around 8:30 p.m. on East Shaw Street.

Police confirmed that a 41-year-old man was taken to hospital.

The services appeal to anyone who has any information about the incident to come forward.

Detective Inspector Gordon Smith said: “Our investigation into the full circumstances is ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact us.

“We are also asking anyone with private CCTV or dash cam footage of the area at the time to contact us.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact the police by phone 101 citing incident 3760 of November 22, 2024.

“Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers 0800 555 111where you can remain anonymous.”
