Conor McGregor found guilty in Dublin sexual assault case

On Friday, former UFC champion Conor McGregor was found guilty of sexual assault in a civil trial in Dublin. The jury cleared another defendant, James Lawrence, of involvement.

Hand testified that McGregor brutally attacked him, describing extensive bruising and serious injuries. Medical evidence supported her story, and experts documented injuries consistent with her claims. McGregor denied the allegations, saying their meeting was consensual. After the verdict, McGregor announced he would appeal.

While the ruling does not carry any criminal penalties, it highlights the ongoing legal challenges facing McGregor, who has not fought in the UFC since 2021. The UFC is not commenting on the outcome of the case.
