Jonathan Majors’ ex-girlfriend dropped her assault and defamation lawsuit after reaching a settlement

Jonathan Majors ex-girlfriend has dropped her assault and defamation lawsuit against the once rising Hollywood star after reaching a settlement.

Lawyers for majors and Grace Jabbari agreed to dismiss the case with prejudice, according to a joint motion filed Thursday in federal court in Manhattan.

Jabbari’s lawyer said Friday that the lawsuit had been “favourably resolved” but declined to provide details.

“Grace Jabbari has shown tremendous courage throughout this very long and difficult trial,” attorney Brittany Henderson said in a statement. “We hope that she will finally be able to put this chapter behind her and move forward with her head held high.”

Representatives for Majors did not respond Friday to emails seeking comment.

Jabbari, in her lawsuit filed in March, accused the 35-year-old Marvel and “Creed III” star of subjecting her to escalating incidents of physical and verbal abuse during their relationship, including assault, battery, defamation and infliction of emotional distress.

The British dancer filed the lawsuit months after Majors was convicted of misdemeanor assault and harassment charges in connection with a brawl in Manhattan.

Jabbari said that during the fight, which began in the backseat of her chauffeured car and then ran out into the street, Majors struck her in the head with an open hand, twisted her arm behind her back and squeezed her middle finger until it broke.

Majors claimed that Jabbari was enraged with jealousy and was the aggressor who was merely trying to get his phone back and escape safely.

Majors avoided prison time, but in April a judge ordered him to complete, among other things: annual consulting program.

Following his guilty verdict, Majors was immediately removed from Marvel Studios, which cast him as Kang the Conqueror as the main villain in the entertainment empire’s films and television shows for years to come.

Majors and Jabbari met in 2021 on the set of Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” in which Majors played Kang and Jabbari was a movement coach.

In recent weeks, Majors has slowly re-emerged on the Hollywood scene.

Last month, his long-awaited film “Magazine Dreams” hit theaters.

The bodybuilder’s drama had already generated Oscar interest for Majors, but distributors pulled it after his conviction last December.

Earlier this month, Majors and another actor Meagan Good announced their engagement at the Ebony Power 100 gala in Los Angeles.
