3. Clark County’s agreement with the Cowlitz Tribe requires the Tri-Mountain Golf Course to remain a public course after the sale

Clark County continues to sell its Tri-Mountain Golf Course to the Cowlitz Tribe of Indians.

The council was updated on the progress of the sale at its November 13 meeting. Michelle Schuster, director of internal services, told council there were two offers received, both through the Cowlitz Tribe’s economic authority.

4. Vancouver officers investigate after Portland woman found dead in SUV; Murder is suspected, but no suspect has been identified

Three days before a A Portland woman was found dead in her carshe sent her location to a friend, showing that she was in the Van Mall district, miles away from where she was later discovered. Court records show that was the last time the friend heard from her.

Vancouver police searched Courtney Clinton’s Facebook page and the Ford Edge where she was found dead inside at 300 Blandford Drive. Search warrants filed Nov. 4 and Nov. 6 in Clark County Superior Court indicate officers have probable cause for first-degree murder, but investigators have not identified a suspect.

5. West Vancouver residents are asking the city to clean up a homeless camp along West Mill Plain Boulevard

On Monday, a dozen West Vancouver residents asked city council to clear a homeless encampment along West Mill Plain Boulevard.

Over the past year, the number of tents at the camp along the sound road has grown from a handful to about 50. Some parents say their children are afraid to leave their homes in the Hough neighborhood.
