After a week-long search, a Manassas man was arrested for burglary of a home while armed with a gun

MANASSAS, Virginia — A 35-year-old Manassas man has been arrested in connection with an armed burglary and domestic assault that occurred earlier this month at Sudley Crossing Apartments, police said.

David Alejandro Marchorro Guerra was apprehended on November 21 by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force in Prince George’s County, Maryland, after a week-long search. Following the November 13 incident, authorities issued multiple arrest warrants.

According to police, Marchorro Guerra broke into the 35-year-old woman’s apartment in the 10800 block of Gambril Drive around 10:50 p.m., breaking open a locked patio door. Once inside, he allegedly punched the woman in the face while armed with a gun. Minor injuries were reported and the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

Marchorro Guerra now faces charges including armed burglary, brandishing a firearm, two counts of domestic assault and battery, use of a firearm in the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and destruction of property. He is currently in custody without bail awaiting trial.
