Two men have died in a crash in County Donegal

Two men were killed and three other people injured in a two-car crash in County Donegal, near the border with Northern Ireland.

The incident happened on the N15 road in Liscooley, near Castlefinn, at around 10pm local time on Friday.

Both men who died were around 30 years old and were traveling in the same car.

A man and a woman in their 70s, traveling in the second vehicle, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

According to the gardaí (Irish police), the 30-year-old woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The road remains closed until forensic tests are carried out, and detours have been established.

Gardaí have appealed to any witnesses or road users who may have footage from cameras in the area at the time of the collision to contact them.
