KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) reminds the public that no weapons will be permitted at the Jamaica Labor Party’s (JLP) annual conference, scheduled for next Sunday at the National Arena.

Police have specified that firearms, drugs, knives, ice picks, machetes, long umbrellas, glass bottles and other items that may cause damage or injury will not be allowed on the premises.

Firearms license holders are advised to drop off their firearms at the Firearms Licensing Authority (FLA) office on Old Hope Road, St Andrew for safekeeping. The JCF stressed that no space will be provided at the stadium police station or any other police station for storing firearms during the event.

All patrons will be searched upon entry and any prohibited items found will be confiscated.
