Two people injured in house explosion in Marinette County

WAGNER, Wis. (WBAY) – Two people were injured in a house explosion in Marinette County on Friday evening.

On Friday, just before 7:30 p.m., the Wagner City Fire Department and the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an explosion and fire at a home on Snyder Road.

At the scene, authorities contacted two injured men who were transported from the scene for medical treatment. There is no information about their condition at this time.

The fire was extinguished by several crews. Fire departments from Wausaukee, Grover-Porterfield, Mellen Township, Menominee-Ingallston, Town of Lake, Middle Inlet and Town of Peshtigo assisted with the rescue.

Wausaukee Rescue, paramedics from Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area, Wisconsin Public Service and Escanaba Guardian Flight also assisted.

The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
