On Wednesday, November 20, in a tragic incident, an 11-year-old boy committed suicide in Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur district following an argument over a mobile phone. The incident took place in Jondhra village under Pachpedi police station limits when his parents were working in the fields.

On Wednesday morning, the child’s father, Santosh Kewat, a farmer from Jondhra, and his wife sent their three children to school before going to work. While the oldest son went to school, the younger one was left alone at home.

At around 1:30 p.m., the older brother returned from school to find the door closed and his younger brother unresponsive. After looking out the window, he saw his brother’s hanging body and immediately notified his neighbors. Shortly thereafter, parents and police were alerted.

Police broke down the door to recover the child’s body and are still investigating the circumstances of the death. A case has been registered and authorities are investigating the details of the case.

Initial investigation revealed that the young boys were sharing a mobile phone, which led to frequent disputes. On the day of the incident, the victim had an argument with his brothers over the phone and it is believed that this argument led to his suicide.
