Arrest in Oswego sexual assault case after 8-month investigation

A Lisle man has been arrested following an eight-month investigation into a reported sexual assault at an Oswego home, police said.

According to Ostego police, 31-year-old Larry Foster was arrested at his home just before 6:30 a.m. Saturday on two counts of sexual assault (a Class 1 felony) and one count of criminal trespass (a Class 4 felony) of a residence. .

Authorities said the charges stem from an incident that occurred on March 16, when the victim reported that a man entered their home and sexually assaulted her. The man left before officers arrived, but was captured on surveillance footage.

Detectives released images of the suspect to help identify him, but police say Foster was only identified after forensic evidence was recovered.

According to investigators, it was later determined that Foster knew the victim.

Charges against Foster were approved on November 22, and a Kendall County judge issued a warrant for his arrest.

Foster was taken to the Kendall County Jail to await a pretrial hearing.
