Kearney man arrested for assaulting several people, including minors

LIBERTY, Mo. (KCTV) – Liberty police arrested a man accused of domestic assault on Friday.

Andrew Colhour, 29, of Kearney, Missouri, was arrested and charged after police were called in reference to an ongoing domestic assault.

When officers arrived, they found that Colhour had attacked three people, including a juvenile. He was arrested and charged with second- and fourth-degree domestic assault.

Colhour faces numerous criminal and misdemeanor charges in Missouri dating back to 2011, including several pending cases.

Court documents show that Colhour was issued a protective order in 2014 for adult abuse coupled with stalking. In 2017, another claim was filed for non-stalking adult abuse.

In December 2016, Colhour pleaded guilty to a felony count of receiving stolen property and served probation.

Then, in July 2017, he was charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree home invasion and second-degree criminal damage to property. Calhour pleaded guilty to all three charges, one of which was a felony, and was sentenced to six years in prison with credit for time already served.

After serving his sentence from March 2018 to November 2020, he was released early. In July 2023, he was again charged with fourth-degree assault and released on supervised probation. He received another protection order this month.

In 2022, Calhour was charged with DWI. The plea agreement was filed on October 16, 2024, the same day he was charged with theft/theft/theft.

On November 23, 2024, after an alleged domestic assault incident, he was booked into the Clay County Detention Center on $30,000 bail. The next hearing is scheduled for January 14, 2025.
