Sheriff Jerome’s office is investigating a possible murder-suicide

JEROME COUNTY, Idaho – Authorities along with the Jerome County Sheriff’s Office are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that occurred on Friday, November 22.

According to a release from the sheriff’s office, Jerome County deputies were called to a residence in reference to a possible shooting incident. Upon arrival, officers observed a body lying on the floor of the house. After no response was received from anyone inside, officers entered and discovered a man and a woman dead. Both died from gunshots, and one of them appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot.

The incident appears to be an isolated one and there is no threat to the public at this time. The investigation is ongoing and authorities are working to notify the families involved before releasing the identity of the deceased.
