Chandigarh: Trio attacks man with sharp weapon, shoots outside his house

On Friday evening, three armed assailants attacked a worker with sharp weapons and fired shots outside his house in Indira Colony, Manimajra.

The victim, Krishan, told the police that the three accused, armed with sharp weapons, attacked him outside his house and launched the attack. He suffered serious injuries, especially to his head, requiring many stitches.

The incident escalated when the attackers fired 3-4 rounds from a pistol in front of his house. However, no one was hit. Police who arrived at the scene found three bullet casings.

They said the motive for the attack appeared to be personal hostility. A case under the Arms Act was registered against the unidentified absconding accused. An investigation is underway to identify and arrest them.
