There was a crash on Highway 45 Saturday evening that left one person dead

CITRONELLE, Alabama (WALA) – The Citronelle Fire Department has confirmed that at least one person died in a road accident on Saturday evening.

They say crews responded to the crash around 7:45 a.m. Saturday on Highway 45 north of Citronelle.

Authorities say that when they arrived, the drivers of both vehicles were trapped.

It is said that both drivers managed to free themselves from their cars.

However, authorities say one victim died during transport and the other was taken to USA Medical Center

The names of the victims have not been released.
