The complainant said that when she woke up around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, she found that her son was missing. She was looking for him and reportedly saw the defendant undressing the child to commit the sexual assault. She raised the alarm and saved her son. She later informed the police.

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sukhdev Raj, who is investigating the case, said an FIR has been registered under Section 96 (purchase of child) of the BNS and Section 10 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. The accused was arrested.
