Teenager killed in shooting in Little Village, Chicago police say – NBC Chicago

A teenager is dead and another was injured Sunday morning in a shooting in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood.

According to Chicago police, the teens were standing in the 2600 block of South Avers around 2 a.m. when shots were fired at them.

One of the teens, identified as 16-year-old Jesus Sanchez, was shot multiple times in the abdomen and taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A second teenager, identified by police as a 15-year-old, was shot in the back and was taken to hospital in fair condition.

There are no suspects in the shooting and Chicago police continue to investigate.
