1 person dead, 5 injured after two-car collision in Brampton

Peel Regional Police say one person is dead and five others injured in a two-vehicle collision early Sunday morning.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Gorewood Drive and Finch Avenue in Brampton around 12:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, they found one person with life-threatening injuries who was pronounced dead at the scene. Five other people were also injured in the accident, including one who was taken to a local trauma center with serious injuries.

Officers say an investigation by Peel Regional Police’s Serious Collision Bureau is ongoing.

No other details have been released.
