Andrew Schulz, a popular podcaster and stand-up comedian, found himself in controversy after his episode Glaring podcast with the duo ShxtsNGigs, where jokes were told at the expense of black women. Kendrick Lamar mentioned a viral moment in the song “Wacced Out Murals” from his GNX project, prompting Andrew Schulz to allegedly label the Compton rapper “too woke.”

DJ Akademiks hosted a recent livestream where he discussed Kendrick Lamar, GNXand a line from “wacced out murals” that stuck in the minds of many listeners. In the song, K-Dot raps, “Don’t let no white comedian talk about black women, it’s the law,” referring to Andrew Schulz and the duo ShxtsNGigs consisting of James Duncan and Fuhad Dawodu.

In the episode in question, Flagrant Schulz examined the trend of the “black girl effect” among men who date black women but are not black themselves. “They grow a beard because they need a pillow when they get hit,” Schulz said, drawing laughter from Duncan and Dawodu.

Ak claims he spoke to Schulz on the phone and claims the comedian responded to Lamar’s verbal jabs. “Is this guy too awake to understand the joke?” Schulz allegedly told the Academics during their conversation.

Gary Owens joined the conversation via Instagram, sharing a photo of Kendrick Lamar and the line, and writing in the caption, “If this law makes me a criminal.”

A quick scan of the post revealed that Owens wasn’t high – at least this time.

On X, formerly Twitter, fans are happy that Andrew Schulz caught a homeless man on a track where K-Dot mainly shoots all his opponents. Check out the reactions below.
