Miravista in Holyoke lit up in blue to mark International Suicide Survivors Day

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – The Miravista Behavioral Health Center was lit in turquoise and blue on Saturday in Holyoke in recognition of International Day of Survivors of the Loss of Suicide.

Turquoise and blue are among the colors that leading organizations, such as the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, highlight as a symbol of awareness.

Turquoise stands for support for anyone struggling with or has attempted suicide, and blue stands for support for suicide prevention by knowing the warning signs and how to get help.
