With tears in her eyes, Adele said goodbye to her two-year residency in Las Vegas.

Reflecting on the tumult of 2022, the Grammy-winning artist addressed the rocky start to her residency, which was postponed at the last minute due to COVID disruptions and production delays.

In a conversation with an audience of 5,000 people, she confessed: “Things got pretty damn rocky… I was told it was career suicide and Vegas would never forgive me.” Despite the setbacks, Adele expressed gratitude for a second chance and pride in overcoming challenges.

“If you don’t like something, don’t fucking do it,” she insisted, adding: “If I had been on that show that I canceled, I definitely wouldn’t be standing here tonight.” The emotional speech highlighted the resilience and support of her team, team and fans.

In 2022, her sudden cancellation of her first 24-day run disappointed fans, some of whom had spent thousands on tickets.
