The woman involved in the hit-and-run flees the scene and throws her car into a shed

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) – On November 24 at approximately 12:55 p.m., Grand Junction Police officers were dispatched to Cruisers Bar in reference to a hit and run.

When officers arrived on scene, they discovered that a black Audi sedan, driven by 20-year-old Laci Thames, had struck several vehicles attempting to exit the parking lot.

When another driver informed Thames of the damage he had caused, she fled the scene.

At approximately 1 a.m., the Grand Junction Regional Communications Center received a 911 call reporting that a black Audi that had run a red light had rolled and struck a shed in the area of ​​27 ½ Road and Patterson.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they found Thames trapped in her car.

The Grand Junction Fire Department extricated Thames and transported her to the hospital with serious injuries.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in both accidents.
