Madison man accused of stabbing elderly homeowner

MADISON, Maine (WABI) – A Madison man is in custody after allegedly stabbing his landlord.

According to the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, they responded to a report of a stabbing Thursday afternoon on Heald Street in Madison.

Daniel Nordin, 53, is said to have stabbed the 82-year-old landlord in the stomach and hand when the landlord tried to enter his apartment for maintenance.

The owner was taken to the hospital for stab wounds that authorities said were not life-threatening.

Nordin was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
